A thank you note.

a thank you from me to you.

as some of you know, I attempted this whole blog instagrammer thing several years ago and quickly got uncomfortable and gave up.

In July I decided to give it another go.

….and I’m SO Glad I did. It’s been 5 months since I decided to embrace my creative side. Show it to the world. Share it.

And you know what? Zero regrets. I’ve met so many like-minded, creative, home loving people and I am just so grateful. Because it’s when I’m encouraged to be my ultimate self- to share my inner most creative thoughts through this portal, that I feel like myself.

When I was growing up, I painted my room at least monthly. Rearranging furniture was a weekly thing. I tore out inspiration from magazines like it was no one’s business. And I scotch taped those papers to my bedroom walls. (Remember that, mom?)

At some point in my life, I lost touch of that version of myself. I lost touch of the version of myself that felt most me.

I went to college. And I went to college again. I became a nurse. I became a wife. I became a mom. All of these things I love and I put myself into fully but I missed and longed for my creative outlet.

Posting my home on instagram might seem silly to a lot of people. Showing off my newly arranged console table or my freshly wrapped presents can seem bonkers to some. To me, it’s a step closer to that teenager with a paint brush and a heart full of dreams. I got a little lost in being the responsible adult (don’t we all?)

Igniting the creative side of me in each and every post lights a fire in me that makes me me again.

So thank you. Thank you for your encouragement and your kind words and your comments. I see you, and I’m so so grateful for you.

Let’s see where this outlet goes!?!

Cheers to another year!
