01. These linen tea towels are SO good. I love the classic color palette. They are thick and absorbent. Cannot go wrong.

02. An original painting at this price? Purchased in Provence, France? Done and done. Keep an eye on this shop. Such good things!

03. You know I recently bought this linen tissue box cover and I LOVE it. Such an easy way to elevate the mundane necessities. I have the color “dark linen”

04. It wouldn’t be a Friday finds without a Turkish rug. This guy is beautiful. I found myself shying away from blue for a while but I’m all about it now. I could see this in a bathroom!

05. Did you know you can purchase live topiaries on Etsy? These cuties would be darling in terracotta pots, inside or out! Love me a topiary. And the price cannot be beat!

Happy shopping, friends!!

Friday Finds 1.5

I’m sorry but also not sorry to bring more rugs into the mix. My mind is on rugs when it comes to Etsy because I’ve been really tempted to switch out our guest bedroom rug. (It never ends, ya’ll.)

01. This one is just so good. Are there any words?!!

02. A Turkish pillow cover. A statement and so gorgeous. This shop has a lot of good ones.

03. I love the style of this hemp rug. It’s giving a different vibe than I typically go for but in a teens room or playroom? So good!!

04. Last but certainly not least is this beauty. If I needed a rug in this size I would have already ordered it. It’s perfect. I hope one of you snags it!

Arhaus Spring ‘24

* this post contains affiliate links. I make a small commission from purchases made through clicking these links * thanks for your support!

Arhaus’ Spring 2024 Collection launched today and it’s a good one. Here are some of my top picks..

The Kensington Curved Buffet is probably my top pick. It is perfection. Honestly the entire Kensington collection is very much my vibe.

The Samantha Sloped Arm Dining Chair. If I didn’t have cats that loved to scratch dining chairs to death I’d buy these babies in a heartbeat.

Sometimes I think an arched cabinet can be trendy and overdone. Not this one. The Hattie Cabinet is stunning.

The Bianca Swivel is boucle done right. The lines on this are so good. A pair of these in a bedroom or living room…

The Blaine Bed. I love an upholstered bed and the curved edges on this are just beautiful.

The Danny Bed. The wood, the lines, the upholstery. I mean come on.

ordering this pillow for myself.

literal perfection. hand knotted is always better, in my opinion.

A pair of these on either side of a mantle.

A thank you note.

a thank you from me to you.

as some of you know, I attempted this whole blog instagrammer thing several years ago and quickly got uncomfortable and gave up.

In July I decided to give it another go.

….and I’m SO Glad I did. It’s been 5 months since I decided to embrace my creative side. Show it to the world. Share it.

And you know what? Zero regrets. I’ve met so many like-minded, creative, home loving people and I am just so grateful. Because it’s when I’m encouraged to be my ultimate self- to share my inner most creative thoughts through this portal, that I feel like myself.

When I was growing up, I painted my room at least monthly. Rearranging furniture was a weekly thing. I tore out inspiration from magazines like it was no one’s business. And I scotch taped those papers to my bedroom walls. (Remember that, mom?)

At some point in my life, I lost touch of that version of myself. I lost touch of the version of myself that felt most me.

I went to college. And I went to college again. I became a nurse. I became a wife. I became a mom. All of these things I love and I put myself into fully but I missed and longed for my creative outlet.

Posting my home on instagram might seem silly to a lot of people. Showing off my newly arranged console table or my freshly wrapped presents can seem bonkers to some. To me, it’s a step closer to that teenager with a paint brush and a heart full of dreams. I got a little lost in being the responsible adult (don’t we all?)

Igniting the creative side of me in each and every post lights a fire in me that makes me me again.

So thank you. Thank you for your encouragement and your kind words and your comments. I see you, and I’m so so grateful for you.

Let’s see where this outlet goes!?!

Cheers to another year!

lighting, brass, wall light, sconce, table lamp

01. I think these little guys are so dang charming. I imagine multiple of them lined up above a bathroom vanity mirror for a retro vibe. (Remember how terrible those were? They need a redemption moment.)

02. Again, I imagine these with a bathroom vanity mirror, but this time think rectangular tall mirror with these on either side. SO good!

03. It is no secret that I love a goose neck light. It is absolutely classic while adding the perfect amount of character. These are perfection and they make me want to change out my kitchen ones for them. (Sorry to my husband if you are reading this)

04. Another solid goose neck option. These give me bedside sconce vibes and I’m here for it.

05. I could have made this entire post about Mullan Lighting. I am a big fan. There’s a reason Amber Lewis carries them in her shop. The brass and metal work is just so gorgeous and this is a great example of that.

06. A table task light of my dreams. Another Mullan Lighting pick. Just so beautiful!

I added lots of my favorite lighting picks to my ‘Lighting’ collection on my Etsy page. There are just SO many options. (Did you see the scalloped rattan light, though?)

Lets talk throw pillows.

When I’m not purchasing from Danielle Oakey Shop (you know by now I’m an OG fan of hers), I turn to Etsy. There are SO many beautiful textiles from small shops.

01. Like this Turkish pillow cover. I own two from this shop and I love them both. So unique and they bring a different texture into the mix. Keep in mind they are made from vintage rug materials, so these covers are not soft and do not wash well. They are more of a true decorative pillow. Still love em.

02. A super sweet Floral block print lumbar pillow. Easiest way to add floral patterns into the mix.

03. Did you know most pillow shops will offer pillow combos? They take the guess work out of it. Genius! This combo is real cute!

04. This floral cutie was calling me. Love the tones in this!

05. Plaid. Say no more. This shop is adorable. That leather zipper detail!

06. This plaid guy would be SO cute in a boys room. Saving for Hayes’ big kid room one day.

Happy Shopping, Friends!!

Let’s look at rugs. Etsy is by far my favorite place to search for vintage Turkish rugs. My kitchen runner is an Etsy find, too!

There is just something so great about a hand knotted rug. The texture cannot be beat and these vintage guys hide spills like no other. It’s my goal to upgrade every rug in the house to a vintage one one day.

01. This is a beauty. I love the coloring on this guy and the size is great, too!

02. A splurge but wow, so good!! I absolutely love this rug. An 8x10 so perfect under a bed or in a larger space.

03. Love the color palette on this one.

04. This one reminds me a lot of my own kitchen runner. Can’t go wrong with this tone of green.

05. Another stunner. I loveee this one.

06. Darker tones but this rug is such a good one. Would be so beautiful laid over marble floors in a bathroom.

Now that I’ve convinced myself that I need another vintage rug…. Happy Shopping, Friends!!

02. It wouldn’t be a post from me without a seasonal digital download. This vintage Christmas fir print fits the bill. Gorgeous printed in any size.

04. A red ticking stripe pillow is the perfect holiday touch. I loveee a ticking stripe fabric. Timeless!

05. I feel like I am on a bell binge right now. I’ve been searching high and low for the perfect wreath bells. These ones are gooood.

here we go again…

Just shy of three years ago I announced I was starting a blog. We had just purchased our current home and I was bursting at the seams with ideas and content to share for our upcoming renovations. A few months later, I decided the whole thing was absolutely not for me. So here I am again, staring at a screen, hitting publish. What changed?

If I could pinpoint to one thing… I had a baby. It is true that your whole perspective on life shifts when you bring a child into this world. Priorities change. Outlooks change. Less matters and more matters at the same time. I stopped caring so much about what people may think of this blog. I’m doing it for me. There’s a creative part of my soul that comes alive when involving all things interior. Your girl just loves a beautiful home, and I LOVE sharing this part of me.

So let’s try this again. Less pressure, more fun.

In the past three years since we’ve purchased our home we gutted and rebuilt the kitchen, added beautiful landscaping in the front yard, and just recently completed a remodel of the front exterior (full reveal coming soon!).

We’re in the process of drawing up plans for our guest house & garage, pool, and backyard. I plan to discuss mood boards, layout plans, design finishes, and of course the daily life that happens in between all of this. I’m excited to bring you all along for the ride this time. Thank you for being here!

why else are we here if not to live with unreasonable passion for things
